第九节
善根不尽的菩提心
SECTION 9. Bodhichitta with Inexhaustible Virtuous Roots
比如，没有以菩提心摄持的善根，会被未回向、颠倒回向等摧毁善根的四种因所灭尽。
Virtuous roots that are not imbued with bodhichitta would easily be destroyed by the four causes to ruin virtuous roots, such as no dedication or wrong dedication.
而以菩提心摄持的善根，就算微乎其微，也会令我们暂时获得人天不可思议的安乐富足，在没有究竟证得菩提之前，善根一直越来越增长，不会有穷尽的时候。
Virtuous roots that are imbued with bodhichitta, even if they are the least significant, can bring us inconceivable happiness and the wealth of men and gods both in the short term and in the long run, before we reach full enlightenment. These virtuous roots will keep growing without exhaustion.
就像《入菩萨行论》中所说：
Just as stated in The Bodhisattva’s Way of Life:
“其余善行如芭蕉，
All other virtues are like plantain trees,
果实生已终枯槁，
for after bearing fruit, they simply perish.
菩提心树恒生果，
Yet the perennial tree of the awakening mind
非仅不尽反增茂。”
unceasingly bears fruit and thereby flourishes without end.
